Follow Your Dreams This Week

today is full of possibilites quote-2

“The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched, they are felt with the heart.” This Monday Motivation comes from the Little Prince. We try to live out the lessons that story teaches: to love others, to follow your dreams and to let your heart be your guide.

Look For The Good

It’s only been a few months since the Paris attacks and we find ourselves once again grieving for the families of loved ones lost in a terrorist attack. Even as the horrors unfolded, people jumped into action to help one another, offering shelter, transportation and aid to complete strangers by tweeting #OpenHouse and #IkWilHelpen. There is more good than bad in this world, and together we can create a world of peace.

The women of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) have been subjected to brutal rapes, as a result of the ongoing conflict. This has left these women at risk for unwanted pregnancies, HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases, as well as obstetric fistulas. There are groups working to help these women rebuild their lives, who are getting them the medical resources and emotional support they need. Read more from The Guardian: goo.gl/1ZSjGy

MLK Motivation Monday

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” This inspiring quote comes from Martin Luther King, Jr. Given all of the terrible things that have been happening in the world, it is easy to get drawn into negativity. The important thing is to remember these wise words and know that light is the only way to peace and that there is more love in the world than anything else!

Did you know that Monday is the UN International Day of Peace? It’s a day observed every September 21st and this year’s theme is something that we’re really excited about: Partnerships for Peace – Dignity for All. We believe every person and every child deserves to live a life of dignity and we want to do everything we can to make this a reality. Are you willing to take the #PeaceDayChallenge and do just one thing for peace on Monday? Find out how every person can make a difference: bit.ly/1LOKeCb

“As children we were fascinated by magic, as adults we fear love. At what point did we forget they are the same thing?” -J.R. Rogue

What a great quote to start the week! It seems that as people grow up, they sometimes forget in the magic of love. We know love really is the most powerful agent of change and that love always conquerors all! Spending time with children and working to make this world a better place for them has proven to us the true power of love.

The kids at the Arias Home of Hope in Chennai, India, take their yoga very seriously! Any guesses on what pose they are going for here? We say they are getting ready for a “Virabhadrasana” pose. As part of our Little Lens Tuesdays, all of these photos are taken by the children themselves with a camera we left behind in 2013. The home houses around 30 HIV/AIDS positive children, and yoga is a great way for them to stay healthy and practice mind body balance. We are currently fundraising for a solar project at the home, please check it out on our site [link in bio] Namaste! #yoga #namaste #breathe #pose #healthy #fitness #workout #awareness #children #kids #cute #ohm #yogini #peace #zen #india #happy #getinvolved #giveback #change #impact #ngo #positive #inspire
